About the Course

DAIRY TECHNOLOGY

For entering into the diploma and gradutation courses the aspirants should have clear hsc with physics,chemistry, maths and biology subjects. In most of the colleges the minimum percentage required is 50%. Degree courses generally be searched as B.tech/B.SC in dairy technology or in dairy science.dairy technology or dairy science which is of 4 years duration and diploma courses can be availed as  Indian dairy di[ploma(IDD) and national dairy Diploma(NDD). After bachelor”s degree  the aspirants can opt for 2 years post gradution courses either of M.Tech in dairy technology or M.SC in dairy science.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:-

12th Science stream students who have passed their 12th from a recognized board are eligible to pursue this course. Only mathematics group students are eligible. Minimum marks criteria exists, but may differ from one University to another. Generally, it is between 40-50% marks in PCM subjects. Also, state level entrance examination marks are also taken into consideration while allotting seats to candidates.

In case of B.Tech. Dairy Technology graduates, the prime recruiters are Dairy farms and firms that processes dairy products. Average starting salary is generally between 2-4 Lakh Rupees per year. In case of business venture, earnings will vary much. In such firms, one may take on responsibilities such as-
